Ranae Hanson (doctorate in multicultural and international education) teaches Ecofeminism, Global Studies, and Developmental Writing at Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Actually, what she does is learn with and from her student, share access power and work with people to create sustainable communities that stand for ethnic and racial and linguist justice and foster eco-centric lives.
Ranae writes in support of ecological sustainability and economic justice for the area near her home lake in northern Minnesota (right beside the boundary waters wilderness) and works with her St. Paul neighborhood toward transition to resilient community and energy descent. Whenever possible, she plants, learning from the growing things in her city and north woods environments. She is part of a family and friend network that spreads into all corners of Minnesota and many areas of the world. Her young adult children bring her great joy. She is a member of Minneapolis Friends Meeting.
